Basic Principles of the BridgeBrazil Methodology

• No Translation in Class
  Teachers and students speak only in the language being taught, which means you’ll be talking and thinking in Portuguese from your first day in the classroom.
• Teacher Rotation
  Teacher rotation exposes students to a variety of accents, vocabularies, and pronunciations, which will help you converse with many different people in an array of “real world” situations. It also keeps class fresh and interesting.
• Emphasis on Communication
  We focus on speaking and listening. You will learn grammar, reading, and writing, but through a very practical approach. You will learn to speak Portuguese, not analyze it.
• Materials & Homework
  You will continue your language learning with assignments outside of the classroom—which also provide reading and writing activities to supplement your conversational practice.
